| Emmie being 'blasted' dry after her swim |
|
'Emmie originally went for hydrotherapy to ease the stiffness in her hindquarters. It has done Emmie the power of good, her mobility is greatly improved and she always enjoys her weekly swim.'
Joan Fawson
Emmie has now passed over the Rainbow Bridge, we miss her greatly.

Having seen my parents' dog suffer with arthritis we were absolutely miserable when Rosie aged 6
was first diagnosed with Arthritis. We were determined to do everything possible to help her particularly as we were told
that she should give up both agility and long walks. Hydrotherapy has more than made up for them, it is so great to see her
having treatment which she clearly loves and which is so obviously doing her good.
The Vet first advised us that hydrotherapy would help and as Rosie is a large GSD X we wanted a large
pool where she could swim and play with toys. For ourselves we wanted someone with us who was friendly, professional and knowledgeable
about dogs, we found this with Sue at Silverden and indeed not only Rosie enjoys her hydrotherapy! 100% recommended and very
many thanks to you.

Jack really enjoys his swimming sessions at Silverden. We have noticed a great improvement all round
with Jack's mobility. Although he is 12 and nearly blind he can still follow the toy being slapped on the water, its the highlight
of his week!

Our Guide Dog Simon has been coming to Silverden for a year after undergoing operations for
simultaneous double cruciate ligament rupture. The treatment has given him back his confidence and acts like a 'happiness
drug'. Apart from the fact Simon loves swimming it has provided a safe way to build muscle tone and gives him a good cardio-vascular
workout. The therapists are very helpful and obviously enjoy their work.

Suki developed arthritis in her shoulder due to an injury 5 years ago. She started hydrotherapy
two years ago and this helped her mobility and increased her muscle mass enabling her to continue enjoying her walks. She
loves her swimming treatment and all the staff at Silverden are very experienced and the dogs welfare is of paramount importance to them. I feel Suki is totally safe in their hands.
